Remember Heroes? Save the cheerleader, save the world?
Well, that show is at Volume 4: Fugitives over at America at the moment. While its currently somewhere in Volume 3 in Sigapore. If you're a hardcore Heroes fan and you wanna watch the episodes before they're telecasted in Singapore, go to www.youku.com and simply search 'Heroes SnEnn'. S stands for Season and E is for Episodes. For example: Heroes S3E10.
For a list of Heroes episodes, click here. There's a lot of things on Wikipedia that you may want to know about: Information on Powers, Characters, Plots... Everything!
Good to see the other authors contributing! Lets keep this class spirit up!
FIRST, I must clarify that the cough during Maths lesson was REAL. I was drinking water when Mrs Wong said that she was very reasonable. AT THE SAME TIME I choked on my water. It was a pure coincidence. REALLY.
Ok, about what Mr Low said today, we should really take care of our Victoriana. It is actually a very interesting read. It tell us us about the ups and downs and what's new with VS in the past 6 months. It took alot of hardwork and effort just to make that 14-16 page magazine for us. Even if you do not want to read it, you can just show some basic respect by placing it aside, AND NOT FOLDING IT INTO PAPER AEROPLANES! How would you feel if your hard work is not appreciated and tear it apart?
Here the interesting videos the Victoriana Showcased
Well? Is kinda fun right? So read your Victoriana!
2day, some of our lucky(or unlucky, depends on opinion, dun write in) classmates, were given the chance to visit a hydroponics farm. Can anyone who were present post some photos on the farm? This visit is not open to all!!! Enjoy your vegetable juice, if you find it exceeds expectations.
And yes, OPW, sir have been a little slow clearing the stages(i guess he's busy), anyway, for those who did any of the stages at all, you may proceed!!!
Here is a joke(or rather a paradox) Enjoy!
In an employer's office. Employer: I would like to tell you some news? A man: what is it, mister? Employer: I would like to inform you that you're ...(trails off) A man: Are you alright, sir? Employer: btw, the next word rhymes with tired.
How do you view this situation, please comment.
SQhi
P.S.:please do not base your opinion on other's and offer what you think. If you do so, it may be difficult to solve this paradox.
pay $2 for a $1 item he wants. A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't want.
2. A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
3. A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
4. To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot & love him a little. To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot & not try to understand her at all.
5. Married men live longer than single men - but married men are a lot more willing to die.
6. Any married man should forget his mistakes - there's no use in two people remembering the same thing.
7. Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed. Women somehow deteriorate during the night.
8. A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change & she does.
9. A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.
10. There are 2 times when a man doesn't understand a woman - before marriage & after marriage.
A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she stayed by his bedside every single day. When he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer. As she sat by him, he said, "You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you gave me support. When my health started failing, you were still by my side... You know what?"
Ok, so the CAs are around the corner, and I think most of us would be mugging really hard now... So, just to let all of you know, here are the exam dates for the various subjects next week. Hope it helps you out!
Monday, February 23- Science
Tuesday, February 24- Literature and Geography
Wednesday, February 25- English (Comprehension)
Well, here are the dates for all the exams that we will be seating for next week! Study hard now so that you can enjoy the fruits of your labour later! Good Luck to all and Nil Sine Labore!
P.S I have changed my name to FrostEdge. Sound nicer, I think. XD
I know everyone is fuzzing over OPW. I am too. Actually, OPW is quite easy. Here are a few tips.
1) If you do not know, there is a section called 'archived projects' before you sign in. These are compilations of the best projects from past years. These project can be a reference for format and ideas on how to write.
2) Get your group together. Teamwork is very important. Everyone can get ideas from each other and this can help make the project work better.
3) Like the scouts motto, 'Be Prepared'. Plan ahead. Do not wait for Mr.Tan or Mr. Koh to assign us to start on the project. View all the steps and plan in what to write. Through this, you can save time and can post it up straight away or make some amendments according to our teacher's instructions.
Well, I hope that this can prove useful and help you in OPW in some way.
This is my first official unstub non-homework related post. FINALLY!
Well, I do not know how to really write something for the class, so, well, here goes,
Firstly, do you guys think that we should remove the video? Although it is 'educational' do you think we should put it up? I mean, sir would check the blog every now and then, what would you think if he saw the video? He would then waste another 45minutes of class and we might piss him off. So if you think it is inappropriate, please tag on the tag board. We shall try to remove it, and try to prevent MBG from posting it... if we can...
Next. We all are rushing on the Science Project. And I have a few suggestions for SOME group leaders eg. No****. Find a good programme and get the person who is best at IT to do it. The rest of the group members can help with suggestions and organisation of the video. Next, group leaders, if you are the best in IT in your group and the rest are slackers or too busy, FORCE one guy to do it with you. Tell him what to do and this can ease your job. You do not have to do everything. Lastly, GET YOUR GROUP ORGANISED! DO NOT LET THEM CONTROL YOU! You can listen to your group member's advise and make some changes, but you cannot let them tell you what to do! They must understand if you are too busy or something and tell them to do it ( This tip is specially for a particular group leader)
Lastly, I have been telling you guys for a llloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnggg time, AUTHORS!!! POST SOMETHING!!! BE ACTIVE! GIVE SOME TIPS OR SOMETHING! DO NOT BE LIKE A MUSHROOM (no offence defighten (a.k.a. reg no. 21))! MAKE THIS CLASS BLOG 'TEEM WITH LIFE'! SO MANY AUTHORS, SO LITTLE PEOPLE POSTING, JUST POST SOMETHING!!!
And a final word - don't play soccer in the class room again. this time it is reflection, next time, it might be detention with an 'angel' and reflection.
Well, lets give our hands to Charley! Our attire role model! Keep up the good work! But work on your memory. PLEASE REMEMBER to bring the class keys tomorrow. And pass them to Keith or me. Thanks! and please check the homework corner for your homework.
I know that the grading for EL blogs is long over. But try to keep your blog alive! You can change your skin/design/features or whatever! Just try to update your blogs on (at least) a weekly basis. People are dying interested to find out what you may have been doing recently, or certain mishaps or strokes of luck you may have encountered. Just because there isn't any marks/gradings given for each & every post you do doesn't mean that you should just don't bother to do anything. Remember that there are many people in our class who are good at blogging and never fear to approach them when you face certain difficulties. Anyway, my point is that blogging is a recreational activity that can help you remember things you did on that particular day. Nobody can ever remember EVERYTHING they did during 365 days. And believe me, you're going to laugh at yourself, remembering those certain times of your life that you recall after reading your own posts. Best of all, anyone can see your blog. Strangers or people you don't hang around with may bump into your blog and that's where friendships can be forge. I hereby urge everyone to try your best to keep your blog alive.
PS. If you have changed your blog URL, or you would rather have a link to your personal blog here in the class blog, leave your URL in the tagboard. And for the last 4 people whose blog URLs aren't here yet, WTF are you waiting for?

Advises.
Ok, since I've not posted for quite a while, I'll ...try. -sigh-
As you all probably know, there have been a whole bunch of projects these past few weeks and homework has been stacking up. Some people may not have enough time to do their homework(like yours truly.) and some can't find the motivation while others just CANT BE BOTHERED. Let me remind you that exams are coming REALLY soon and it will feel as if it was just yesterday that we were slacking and not paying attention in class. We can't let only Isaac go IP program and emo there alone right? ...On second thought... we can. But I'm not trying to say you should be stressed out and start mugging like *****. Don't ever forget to exercise and drink enough water and eat enough food and fall sick, missing school for 4 days like SOME PEOPLE. And NEVER neglect your CCAs, they are the things that will help you improve your marks and blablabla. You know what I mean. Anyway, my point is, balance between work and play is ESSENTIAL. Avoid playing games too often and blablabla, you know where I'm getting at. Okay, I'm off to play with my deodorant now. You don't know what type of things you can do with it! :D
Notice to Song Qing: I know you mean well for the class blog. But you have been making ...unnecessary changes and adding stuff to the template. The title is perfect (notice that it's the class motto) just the way it is. And the target='blank' causes noobish computers to go horrendously slow and ****** up, which is why I avoided putting it there. Leave the template editing to the IT clubber -sly grin-. "Welcoming" authors to the class blog is unnecessary and a waste of space. And the class role is called 'Welfare Secretary' not "Class Counsellors" and they are Charley and Rayson NOT Charley and Jun Xuan. And that was ALREADY there before you edited the template. And PLEASE avoid pretending to be someone else on the tagboard. I can check IP addresses mind you.
PS. I'm still finding a suitable and clean program for the 'Homework Corner'. I'll try to finish by next week. For now, bear with what is already there.
~MBG (FOR THE BLOODY LAST TIME. DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE YOUR ********** NAME.)
Edit (MBG): Awake authors, try to make your posts longer (no crap). Asleep authors, WAKE UP.
